Perspex/Acrylic

ORDERING PROCESS

A straightforward process from file to finished part, here's what to expect.

Send Your Design

Share your DXF, AI or CDR file via WhatsApp or email, along with the material type, thickness, quantity and any finish requirements. If you don’t have a vector file yet, let us know and we can help convert it.

File Check & Quote

We review your artwork for CNC suitability, checking for open paths, thin features or potential cutting issues  and come back with a quote covering material, cutting time and any file corrections needed. No surprises.

03

Material & Deposit

You confirm the order and pay a 50% deposit (or provide your own material if you prefer). For trade clients with an existing account, we can arrange invoicing on order completion.

04

CNC Production

We program your files on our machine. Toolpaths are verified before cutting begins. Parts are checked against your specifications before collection or delivery.

Our CNC router working bed is  1300mm x 25000mm. Parts larger than the bed can often be cut in sections and joined, depending on the design this can be done invisibly or with a visible join that can be concealed in finishing. Contact us with your dimensions and we'll advise the best approach for your specific design.

Yes. If you source your own material, we can quote on cutting only basis. Bring the material to our CBD workshop and we'll quote cutting time based on your file. This is particularly common with contractors & other customers who buy material in bulk.

We work from DXF , AI (Adobe Illustrator), CDR (CorelDRAW) and SVG vector files. PDF files can be used if they contain vector data, not raster(images).

For 3D file formats we prefer to work with STL files.

We cannot work from JPG, PNG, or raster image files directly, but our we can convert your artwork to a suitable vector file at an additional charge. All files should be at 1:1 scale in millimetres with text converted to outlines.

Yes. Our CNC router can perform V-carve engraving, pocket carving and 2.5D - 3D relief carving in addition to through cutting.  We do this on a variety of materials. V-carving is popular for wooden plaques, MDF signs and acrylic trophy bases. 3D carving is used for shool crests, church carvings, architectural features, carved timber panels and sculpted MDF features. Let us know in your brief whether you need cutting only, engraving only, or a combination.
